Patriotic Millionaires

A group called the Patriotic Millionaires, comprised of 44 millionaires, has written a letter to president Obama asking him to raise the tax rate on those making $250,000 - themselves. They argue that the rich are richer than ever and their money could be better used by the government to fix the economy. Allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire could save $700 billion over the next ten years.

" If we want to keep our strong military and provide health care for the elderly, we’re going to have to make sacrifices. It’s the responsible, patriotic thing to do."
