Schooling in California

I thought the numbers were interesting but I really couldn't have cared less about the programs.
in summary:


Each year California currently spends...
$9,740 per student
$36,000 per inmate

75% percent of inmates are highschool dropouts
60% of people on unemployment did not complete high school.


Perhaps more effort should be put into the future than into the past.
